1920s Geometric Print Metallic Lamé Coat

1920s Geometric Print Metallic Lamé Coat

Incredible 1920s era flapper coat! Shimmery metallic lamé in a bold leaf and blue floral (?) print! Very Art Deco style. Abstract shapes and circles and the suggestion of motion. Sleeves are elegantly shaped, with billowy folds and rows of darts at the elbow. Beautifully made. Big floppy silk satin baby blue collar. Lined in matching baby blue silk satin. Open front with no closures. Very rare, stunning piece!

LAYAWAY is available for all items, please message me for details.

Meant to have a loose drapey fit.
Open fit with no closures.
Shown on an XS dress form but could accommodate up to a L
Shoulder: 20"
Bust/Waist/Hip: open
Total span at waist edge to edge circumference: 45"
20.5" side seam to side seam across back at waist.
Length: 45"

Condition: Excellent. Very wearable and the lining is fully intact. Some darkening and tarnishing to the lame - very normal. Some areas, particularly sleeve, have more of a purple tone in the print than blue. Collar has three or four spots where it looks like some stitches used to be, perhaps there was an extra element of embellishment there. Sleeve cuff edges look a little raw - they may have been originally cuffed shorter or had fur cuffs. Lining has some wear and scuffs to fabric but totally wearable and structurally sound.
