1920s Floral Lame Cocoon Cape

1920s Floral Lame Cocoon Cape

Museum-worthy 1920s era flapper cape! Cocoon style with wide ruched collar that can be worn popped, and bias cut, drapey lapels. Fashioned in a remarkable painterly floral print with gold lamé throughout. It catches the light beautifully, but unfortunately doesn't translate well to photos. So much more luminous in person, but the color palette is not as bright as it looks in the photos -- more muted in hue, but much more sparkly. Fully lined in luxurious liquid silk velvet. Simple hook and eye closure at neck. As an added bonus, an adorable little tie accent on the right hem. Stunning piece of history in perfect wearable condition.

LAYAWAY is available for all items, please message me for details.

Should fit loosely.
I recommend it for a size XS. Shown unpinned on an XS dress form.
Shoulder edge to edge across back: about 22"
Length: 33"

Condition: Excellent. Just amazing. The only possibly flaw I can see is one teeny tiny hairline split at the very top of one of the folds on the collar, absolutely not noticeable even under inspection it is difficult to see, and does not affect wear at all.
