1930s Teal Lamé Coat

1930s Teal Lamé Coat

Incredible early 1930s coat !! Sumptuous teal silk velvet, with unusual bright turquoise and metallic gold lame in a great abstracted leaf motif. Catches the light SO beautifully -photos do not do it justice. Perfect details and deco seaming. Puffed shoulders and trapunto details on the collar! Brass button closures. Fully lined in beautiful blue silk crepe and satin, with a cozy wool interlining.

LAYAWAY is available for all items, please message me for details.

Loose oversized fit.
Recommended size XS-M
Bust: 38"
Waist: 36"
Length: 44"
Shoulder: 14.25"

Condition: Great. Very wearable. Some tarnishing to the lame at back right hip. General normal overall wear. Has been rehemmed and some weak areas of the lame weave towards hem have been stabilized via interior patches and zig zag topstitching. The fabric is very slightly puckered there. Zoom in on photos or message for closeups. There are a few small separations still in the lame weave near hem but they are not noticeable, about 1/2". Small L-shaped repaired tear to velvet lapel near hem (not visible when coat is closed) and a few tiny pinhead holes. Lining is in amazing shape especially for its age, with just a couple tiny breaks at underarm. Fabric is strong with no shattering.
