30s Iridescent Green Striped Two Piece Gown

30s Iridescent Green Striped Two Piece Gown

Late 1930s - early 1940s evening gown two piece set. Dress features black silk bodice with flattering pleating in back, and voluminous skirt. Metal side zip. The skirting is made from wonderful fabric - iridescent green taffeta with woven black stripes. The green is bright and shiny in the light and can appear quite dark from other angles - so much variation in tone and it catches and reflects the light beautifully! Matching overblouse features a tailored fit with lots of darts at waist. Faux button front with hidden snap closures beneath. Folded collar, short sleeves. So gorgeous and flattering!! Original label intact, "Arthur Weiss Original"
