Late 1930s - early 1940s era day dress in printed light as air chiffon. The fabric is quite strong despite is soft, light semi sheer nature, possibly a rayon. Abstract/feather swirl print. Short puffed sleeves with seams and gathers down the sides. V neck with two blue plastic decorative buttons beneath. Pintuck-pleated flowy skirt. Flattering gathers at waist. Side snap closures. Matching sash belt.

Condition: Great. Does have some signs of age and wear: some faint yellowing at neckline, some wear and small holes at underarms, a few areas of minor seam stress. There is some writing on the back just below neckline, where someone at some point wrote some small numbers in a couple of the white swirls (zoom in on photo to inspect).
